My name is Maria Alfano-Huggins. Here is a little about me. I worked in corporate America for over 30 years. Having reached the top of the totem pole I realized the view from the top wasn’t all that different from the view climbing up the ladder. I dealt with matters of finance and human resources. And, I had had enough of the stress and making someone else’s dream come true.
The Silver Diaries came about as a result of my boredom with the ho-hum of everyday life. I wanted to do something exciting. I joined my love of reading and writing with my desire to help people and my enjoyment of surfing the web for fun and interesting things to do, after leaving the J.O.B. and turning it into The Silver Diaries.
Being 50-something, I have experienced so many challenges in life and would like to share them with the world in hopes that it could help someone else who is going through the same things.
About Me
Lazing around has never been my thing. My children can tell from experience that I hate wasting time. Time is that one commodity that we can never get back. As a result, I fill my day with many adventures. One of them is writing this blog. I used to be in the world of finance and human resources, but after 30+ years in the field, I just needed a change – something that would give me back my spark.
The Silver Diaries is for people like myself, approaching or buried knee-deep into their Mid Life cycle. It talks about the relevant topics that we face today in our generation. Join me in this journey to bring more spark into unlocking your midlife potential.
